North Carolina Tar Heels

North Carolina is always near the top of the national headlines. Year in and year out, the program snags solid recruiting classes and puts together strong campaigns. With head coach Roy Williams at the helm, it is hard to ignore their potential in this recruiting battle. The Tar Heels are clearly among the “elite” in college basketball circles as one of the “blueblood programs.” Fletcher has indicated in the past that the history of a program may play a role in his decision and UNC certainly brings plenty of that to the table.

Looking ahead to the future of the North Carolina program, Coach Williams should definitely be in the market for a wing in the 2020 class. The Tar Heels will be graduating Brandon Robinson, Justin Pierce, and Christian Keeling after this coming season and could use a solid scorer on the perimeter. Fletcher would fit the bill and he would also be the second player in the 2020 class. UNC has already snagged a commitment from Day’Ron Sharpe, a 6-foot-10 big man ranked at No. 22 overall in the class.

With those two in two, UNC would have the makings of a tremendous class. To put it simply, Fletcher would be a great positional fit for the future of the Tar Heels program. Coach Williams would be able to fill a major need with his commitment and could then turn his attention to a “best player available” form or recruiting to fill out yet another class.
