2019-20 roster for Sierra Canyon

The roster last season did not come with as much fanfare even though the team had two NBA players sons. Kenyon Martin Jr. who has elected to play professional basketball instead of honor his commitment to Vanderbilt played on the team a season ago. Scottie Pippen Jr. joined forces with Martin Jr. last year. Pippen Jr. was set to join his teammate at Vanderbilt to play for Jerry Stackhouse. Even though Martin Jr. is ready to play professionally, Pippen Jr. is ready to go for Vanderbilt this season.

That was good star power a season ago, especially having the son of an NBA legend on your team. Those players are nothing compared to what the Trailblazers are prepared to run out on the floor this season. Their starting five as mentioned has the potential to be the greatest ever, and it is hard to see where Sierra Canyon loses this season.

LeBron James Jr.

The son of one of the greatest players of all time, his Dad LeBron James Sr. let his son transfer to Sierra Canyon once the elder James moved to LA to play with the Lakers. Bronny comes with all the fanfare and the stardom of his father. He brings an exciting high-flying game to the Trailblazers just like his father. It was mentioned earlier last week that if Bronny must go to college his choice would most likely be Duke.

Zaire Wade

Another son of a former NBA player and future Hall of Famer. The younger Wade is the point guard for the Trailblazers and while his offer list is not as impressive as the younger James, it is still impressive. Wade has already taken visits to Nebraska under Tim Miles and Michigan State. The three-star forward is going to see his recruitment take off when playing next to so many talented kids.

Ziaire Williams

The wing is not the son of an NBA player, but he is the No. 7 ranked player in the 2020 class according to 247 Sports. Williams already has offers from North Carolina, Stanford, Arizona, Oregon and UCLA. The wing is likely going to end up at North Carolina when his recruitment finally comes to an end. Williams, like the rest of the team is an elite scorer and great shooter from deep. His athleticism is off the charts. It appears a trend is developing for the starters at Sierra Canyon.

Terren Frank

Frank is the big man for the Trailblazers and like Williams is a class of 2020 recruit. Frank is currently a four-star recruit but could be a five-star by the time the season is over. The big man is being recruited exclusively by the Pac-12, and holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Oregon State. The big man has a knack for getting good position on rebounds and does a lot of damage in the paint. He can step out and hit from long-range. Like the rest of the Trailblazer roster he can score in bunches.

BJ Boston Jr.

Boston is the third starting guard and he is the player who is going to take Sierra Canyon over the top. The guard committed to Kentucky over the weekend and it was a mere days after announcing that he would be transferring to Sierra Canyon. Boston is the No. 10 ranked recruit in the 2020 class and is the second 5-star recruit in the starting five. The guard has a great basketball IQ and because of that always finds himself around the ball. He is always looking to score and has no wasted movement. He is one of the more graceful players around and is always around the basket and scoring the ball. Don’t be surprised when he is the leading scorer on this team.

The arrival of Boston pushed class of 2022 guard and most likely future 5-star Amari Bailey to the bench. These six players make up a high school super team and one that is going to draw the attention of every opponent they play. College coaches are going to be all over the gym watching players every single night Sierra Canyon takes the floor.
