Texas A&M Aggies

There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to Texas A&M’s roster under first year head coach Buzz Williams. There are six incoming freshman, all capable of playing on the wings like Stute. And as far as the returning talent goes, players such as Savion Flagg and Jay Jay Chandler have experience playing at that spot as well. But very little is guaranteed as far as playing time goes under a brand new head coach so Stute could very well insert himself into the rotation as a underclassman. But like Pittsburgh, those already there could emerge early on to make the Aggies less desirable.

Vanderbilt Commodores

Jerry Stackhouse Is in charge of a rebuilding Vanderbilt program who lost just about everyone of importance outside of forward Aaron Nesmith. He split some time between the small and power forward positions but based on the departures, I expect him to play more in the frontcourt than on the perimeter. 6’6 guard Jordan Wright is the only incoming wing prospect, meaning that they’ll be adding more in the 2020 class. Of all the options, Stute’s best shot at playing early will be with Vanderbilt. And with Stackhouse’s strong ability to develop, it could be a perfect match.

Virginia Tech Hokies

Even though Buzz Williams went to Texas A&M, the Hokies still has a good shot at landing Stute if he opts to stay local. New head coach Mike Young has done a good job at landing players to replenish the talent pool. However, there aren’t many wings on the roster outside of redshirt freshman Landers Nolley. Of their 2019 commits, all are either smaller guards of frontcourt forwards.

Stute would join top-100 guard Joe Bamisile in the 2020 class. Grabbing this recruit would help Virginia Tech be a very competitive team in the next couple of years, while also still having a footprint in the D.C. area. Stute might not be the most famous player in next year’s recruiting class but based on his finalists, he’d be a pretty nice piece to land for the future.
