Missouri Tigers

As one of the closest programs to Love’s home, Missouri is not a program that I am willing to count out in this recruitment. The Tigers might not boast the same level of basketball prowess as some of the others in this list but they have the ability to make a unique pitch. At the core of this, of course, will be the fact that campus is only two hours away from home. Love would be able to consistently play in front of his biggest fans and be one of the featured players on the roster. Considering Missouri has only reached the NCAA Tournament once in the last six years, he could be the recruit that turns the tide for the program.

Love is the caliber of player that can not only help carry his team to victory in games but also could show some skill as a recruiter as well. If he was to commit to the Tigers somewhat early in this recruiting season, he could help the coaching staff secure fellow top-rated or in-state talents to improve the roster for the 2020-21 season. Players have started to emerge as some of the top recruiters in recent years and Love would be given that opportunity for Missouri. If he commits and is able to bring other players with him, the Tigers could be back in the NCAA Tournament quite soon.

With that said, though, it does not seem as though the Tigers are the favorites in this recruitment. While there is likely to be some appeal to playing close to home, it will be hard for head coach Cuonzo Martin to make a pitch that is stronger than the others on this list.
