Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana has struggled plenty in recent years and the program is in need of a “spark plug” player that has the ability to come in and immediately make a difference in pushing the team back to national relevance. The Hoosiers thought that in-state talent Romeo Langford was going to be able to fulfill that idea during this past season but that did not come true and he is now in the NBA. It is very possible, though, that Indiana could put a much better supporting cast around Love in 2020-21 than they did around Langford during this past season.

As a result, it is definitely possible that Love could be intrigued to complete alongside players such as Justin Smith and Rob Phinisee. Both of those two project as big-time upperclassmen performers by the time Love would arrive on campus and that could be a dangerous trio. Head coach Archie Miller clearly has some work to do before turning Indiana basketball back into a national powerhouse but quality recruiting has been a great first step. Landing Love would definitely be a continuance of his hot recruiting start since taking over the program.

Indiana has not been extremely successful on the court as of late but their recruiting prowess should never be overlooked. The Hoosiers have landed a number of top-100 talents in recent years and it is reasonable to assume that Coach Miller will be able to put a strong roster around Love. The appeal with IU as a destination is the possibility that Love could lead them back to the promised land of college hoops success. If that were to happen, he would become a legend at one of the most storied programs in the nation.
