23. Florida State Seminoles (ACC)

Average recruiting ranking: 37.80

Florida State has been tremendous over the past few years. In his time with the program, head coach Leonard Hamilton has turned the program into a solid NCAA Tournament competitor. The Seminoles have reached six of the last 10 Big Dances and have also made the second weekend in back-to-back years. They are currently in the midst of a successful string of years that has also included sending multiple players to the NBA. Hard to argue with that.

Over the course of the decade, Florida State landed two five-star prospects and they are the headliners for this piece. Jonathan Isaac and Dwayne Bacon both ranked highly in their respective classes and went on to have strong careers in Tallahassee before embarking on their next steps in the NBA. Chris Singleton and Michael Snaer, who were a part of the program’s well-documented 2009 class ranked nine nationally, just missed the time cutline. Some of the other players worth mentioning include Malik Beasley and Xavier Rathan-Mayes.

Head coach Leonard Hamilton has done a superb job with this program in the last few years. While the Seminoles are widely projected to take a dip during this coming season, their recent successes are indicative of a program on the rise. If he is able to continue securing lanky forwards that fit his system, then Florida State could be a dangerous team in the ACC for the next several years. Additionally, it is important to mention that the coaching staff is already off to a strong start in the new decade with a commitment from shooting guard Malachi Wideman. They also have an incoming five-star from the 2019 class in Patrick Williams.
