Mike Miles – Lancaster H.S. (TX)

PG | 6-foot-2 | 170 lbs | No. 139 overall

Over the course of this summer, Mike Miles competed for Texas Titans (TX) on the EYBL circuit and performed admirably. Although not the most highly-rated player on the squad, he played nearly 30 minutes per game and showcased his physical brand. He averaged 11.9 points (.407/.302/.785), 3.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game across 18 contests. Miles is clearly a very talented lead guard with the ability to score at all three levels. That much was evident while playing alongside several other highly-rated players this summer.

Additionally, Miles also recently cut his recruiting list to just five schools: Auburn, Butler, North Texas, Oklahoma State, and TCU. As a top-150 prospect, he would be another awesome snag for Butler. With regards to his playing style, Miles is a ground-bound point guard with a well-rounded skill set. Although not necessarily an elite athlete, he can fill it up with consistency, defend at a high level, and has also showcased solid playmaking abilities. He is listed at 6-foot-2.

With all of this said, though, Butler has already secured their backcourt of the future with Chuck Harris and Myles Tate. There is no *clear* need for another guard. With two scholarships available and major needs on the wing and in the frontcourt, it is hard to foresee a major role for Miles down the road if he was to commit to Butler. That said, though, the Butler coaching staff could have a plan in place for that situation and they have been eagerly targeting the talented guard throughout the summer. He was also EYBL teammates with one of Butler’s top 2020 priorities in JaKobe Coles.
