Preparing for the upcoming season

When the 2019-2020 NCAA Women’s Basketball season comes to an end, fans can look back on the inaugural season as a keystone year, for the program. A competitive coach with a proven methodology was hired to lead Penn State Women’s Basketball, into the future. She and her staff deserve the patience that has been provided to the Men’s program, over the last nine years. Like Penn State Men’s Basketball, Coach Kieger is competing against some of the top-tier programs, in the nation.

From the Social Media accounts of the Lady Lions, it’s evident that Coach Kieger is giving it her all. One tweet showed her tackling Greg Miskinis and yelling, “We’re Playing FOOTBALL!!!” This coach certainly brings the energy and passion.

Penn State fields a young Women’s program with two Seniors and two Juniors, on the roster. The team that suits up on November 5th, in Towson Maryland will not be the same team that finishes in March, of 2020. The team that returns for the 2020-2021 season will be markedly different.
