Louisville hosts several prospects

The Louisville Cardinals started a busy September visit schedule by hosting top 2020 targets Zach Loveday, and Josh Hall along with key 2021 recruit Devin Askew on Sept. 1. 2022 prospects Chris Livingston and Ty Rogers were also on campus.

Loveday is a four-star 7-0 center from Gallipolis (OH) who coach Chris Mack has been drawn to since his days with Xavier. Since Mack has taken over the Cardinals, Loveday has been on campus for two unofficial visits to campus. He also has taken visits to Baylor, Indiana, and Cincinnati.

Askew (Santa Ana, CA) is a five-star prospect and one of the top players in the class. He was on campus for an official visit last year and said he “loved it.” Louisville is expected to win his services.

Hall (Durham, NC) is a four-star 6-9 forward who take an official visit to NC State (Sept. 7). He has more than two dozen scholarship offers including both Louisville and NC State as well as Texas, Pittsburgh, Miami, and Florida. Meanwhile, Livingston is a 6-5 guard from Akron and holds three offers from Ohio State, UAB, and Akron.

Louisville has yet to receive a commitment from any prospect in the class of 2020  or 2021. The Cardinals and are expected to have four scholarships available in 2020. They have 15 open offers to players from the 2020 class and 10 open offers to players from 2021.

  • Top-50 2020 forward Henry Coleman (Richmond, VA) began his official visit to Duke on Aug. 31. While the Blue Devils are the overwhelming favorites to land Coleman, he is slated to visit Ohio State and Virginia Tech in the coming weeks.
