10) David Roddy – Colorado State

A high school quarterback who received offers to play football as well as basketball, Roddy profiles as one of the most physically ready players in this Mountain West freshman class. Roddy has a 6-5, 250-pound frame and looks like he could have played a pretty dominant football tight end as well as QB. His toughness and raw strength should be his best assets, even at the next level. Though Roddy appears to pack some quickness and solid skill along with is power, the extent of his versatility will likely determine if Roddy can log consistent minutes.

9. Orlando Robinson – Fresno State

Robinson will arrive at Fresno State with the opportunity to provide some quality depth to what will be an unproven frontcourt. While rising senior Nate Grimes and transfer Chris Seeley will likely be the go-to forward contributors, both are undersized at 6-8. Robinson stands at 6-10 and will be competing with Lazaro Rojas and redshirt freshman Assane Diouf for minutes. Rojas got limited minutes last season and Diouf has a humongous 7-2 frame, but Robinson has more mobility giving him an edge to make an impact.

8. Kwane Marble Jr. – Wyoming

One of the better names of any incoming freshman, Marble Jr. will try to get Wyoming back on the right track after the Cowboys went just 8-24 last season. With Justin James graduating, Coach Edwards needs some talent to come in and contribute as soon as possible. Marble Jr. displays strength in getting to the basket with ease and finish with style. He has some serious playmaking potential and should factor into the Cowboys backcourt rotation right away.
