4. Sean Bairstow – Utah State

Bairstow is an Australian prospect with some big time upside. He has a tendency to leak out and get on the break and this appears to be when he can use his mix of quickness and length to finish at the rim. Whereas fellow incoming classmate Mcchesney seems to prefer mixing catch and shoot along with working in the post, Bairstow likes to attack off the bounce with pace. Bairstow is a fun looking player that will be in the mix with Mcchesney to get minutes.

3. Keshad Johnson – San Diego State

Johnson’s athleticism is the first thing that jumps out at you displaying excessive explosiveness with some smoothness as well. Similar to his predecessor Steve Fisher, current head coach Brian Dutcher seems to value versatility in his players so it’s easy to see Johnson fitting in well as an Aztec. Johnson may not be as highly touted coming out of high school as the now NBA bound Jalen McDaniels, but Johnson certainly fits the bill as an under the radar recruit that could break out his freshman season and be an NBA player at some point.

2. Emmanuel Andrew – New Mexico

Andrew forecasts as a small forward with some serious bounce and length. Although he’s undoubtedly talented enough to get minutes right away, it’s hard to predict exactly what role he’ll have in 2019-20. The Lobos bring back significant minutes and incoming transfers such as JaQuan Lyle, Zane Martin, and JJ Caldwell who all figure to factor in. Still, Coach Paul Weir values players with versatility who can bring energy and athleticism in the open floor. If Andrew can show he has a willingness and ability to defend, his talent and upside will earn him a role this season.

1. Niven Glover – Fresno State

Glover had offers from Memphis, Iowa State, and Georgetown per 247 sports, so Fresno State landing the 6-5 guard out of Orlando, Florida last month is a big deal. But exactly what kind of player are the Bulldogs getting in Glover? Simply watch a couple highlights and you’ll see Glover is a simply phenomenal athlete with a knack for crowd-pleasing dunks.

The hype around Glover being among the most athletic players in the 2019 freshman class is understandable. It’s perhaps premature to conclude Glover has the all-around game to be a star at Fresno State, but Glover’s athleticism and raw talent should make him an immediate contributor for squad losing its top two scorers. Look for Glover to make some noise this season and beyond.
