Coach Boynton’s impact

Coach Mike Boynton has had a really good summer after managing to bring a top 25 recruiting class in the country and bringing back all five of his starters from the prior season. Boynton already has a top 100 player Devonte David committed for the class of 2020, a strong addition at the point guard position.

Boynton hopes that his squad can drastically improve from last year and make the NCAA tournament for the first time as the Cowboys head coach. Fans need to be optimistic for the future of Cowboys basketball with the influx of youth coming in and the veterans that they bring back. These next two years will be big for Boynton as Oklahoma State will graduate five seniors at the end of this coming year. Getting the youth involved this year will be essential for long-term success.

Oklahoma State will have their work cut out for them this year but the future of the Cowboys looks very bright. The seniors for the Cowboys will hope to go out on a high and hope that the culture that they built will help Oklahoma State become a regular tournament team as they’ve been for past stretches.
