Current commits in the class

Jalen Johnson | SF | 6-foot-8 | No. 6 overall

Arguably the most skilled player in the 2020 class, Jalen Johnson is a unique talent. He brings plenty of size to the table at 6-foot-8 and is an impressive playmaker. Johnson sees the floor remarkably well and can be a primary creator at the collegiate level. His athleticism and scoring abilities are often overshadowed by his passing but it is clear that Johnson’s skill set is well-rounded and he should be a star in Durham. His two-way leadership as a versatile defender and superb passer will help carry the team.

Jeremy Roach | PG | 6-foot-2 | No. 20 overall

Jeremy Roach was the first commit for Duke in this class and he should be a leader at the point guard position. Although not the most athletic lead guard in the class, Roach is very skilled and uses his strength to get to the basket with consistency. He is already quite well-built and is a very intelligent player on both ends of the floor. It will not be easy to follow in the footsteps of Tre Jones but Roach’s talent will speak for itself. He does just about everything well and should be an elite-level glue guy and star.

DJ Steward | CG | 6-foot-3 | No. 26 overall

There might not be a better pure scorer in the entire 2020 class than DJ Steward. The 6-foot-3 combo guard out of Chicago can absolutely fill it up at all three levels and should be a menace for defenes at the college level. This is especially true when you consider that he will be playing alongside two elite-level playmakers in Johnson and Roach. Steward can fill it up from beyond the arc and is also lightning quick with regards to attacking the basket. He might not be the highest-rated player in this class but Steward could lead Duke in scoring next season.

Jaemyn Brakefield | PF | 6-foot-8 | No. 38 overall

It only took one day for Jaemyn Brakefield to make his college decision after receiving a scholarship offer from the Blue Devils. Duke was his dream school throughout the process and he will now have the opportunity to play a big role in Durham. Brakefield is a strong perimeter shooting lefty and high-level athlete. Additionally, he uses his size to defend at a relatively high level as well. Although Brakefield might not boast one particularly elite skill, he is a versatile contributor that should see a major role in what might be his only collegiate season.

Henry Coleman | PF | 6-foot-6 | No. 40 overall

An impressively well-built small-ball power forward, Henry Coleman plays with an insane motor. He gives 100% on every single play and should be a high-level contributor in college. He rebounds at an impressive rate while also being able to defend either forward slot. He still needs to develop his overall offensive game but his athleticism and physicality will make him a strong frontcourt option as a freshman. Brakefield and Coleman will likely form a dangerous tandem at the power forward slot next season and they will both bring a little something different to the table.
