Creighton missed the NCAA Tournament during this past season but they are still one of the better programs in the nation. Under the leadership of head coach Greg McDermott, the Bluejays have turned in some very strong campaigns but they are yet to make a deep run in the postseason. With star guard Ty-Shon Alexander returning for this season, that finally might come to fruition. One of the top all-around players in the country, Alexander has been overshadowed a bit by other stars in the Big East such as Markus Howard, Myles Powell, and Kamar Baldwin.

Nonetheless, Alexander is the leader of an offensive juggernaut in Omaha. This team can score with the best of them and he is the go-to man in crunch time. Over the course of last season, the 6-foot-3 guard experienced a major breakout. He averaged 15.7 points (.406/.365/.794), 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. There should no doubt that he is one of the best players in the conference and that will be on display during this coming season.

With a ton of other talented players returning alongside Alexander, Creighton could surprise a lot of people this season. The Bluejays have some weaknesses, especially at the center position, but they project as one of the best offensive teams in the country. With Alexander leading the way, this will be a very difficult team to stop and they could not only contend for an NCAA Tournament bid but a national top-25 ranking as the season continues.
