Key Reserves

CJ Felder: Forward, 6’7, 230 lbs, Freshman

Nominated for the McDonald’s All-American game, Felder can be an important piece for the Eagles’ puzzle. Felder can be impactful with having a good inside game and being able to rebound the ball. CJ can help the Eagles with many aspects of their game-plan, but look for him to be able to score inside and rebound. Has potential to be one of their “glue” guys this season.

Julian Rishwain: Guard, 6’5, 190 lbs, Freshman

Another nominee for the McDonald’s All-American game, Rishwain can be help the Eagles. He can shoot the ball well and can be one of the first few guards off the bench for the Eagles. A high-level scorer who can rebound the ball as well. Rishwain can get good early minutes from Christian in non-conference play. Along with Felder, can be one of the best freshman in the ACC.

Kamari Williams: Forward, 6’7, 200 lbs, Freshman

Williams is a forward coming from the state of Maryland and with Maryland’s history, they have produced lots of good talent in the college level. Williams can run the court for the Eagles and help out on the perimeter on the defensive side. Still, the question will be asked about how many minutes Christian will give his freshmen?

Chris Herren Jr.: Guard, 6’3, 174 lbs, Sophomore

Herren Jr. did not put up huge numbers in his freshman year. Only averaging 4.2 ppg and 1.7 rpg, Herren Jr. will see an increased role. Herren Jr. will for sure be one of the first few guys off the bench this season after shooting 35.9% from the field and shooting 32.1% from 3. He only shot 18 free throws and made nine of them, 50%. If in trouble, can Herren Jr. kick into a higher gear and produce for the Eagles?

Steffon Mitchell: Forward, 6’8, 220 lbs, Junior

Mitchell averaged 7.9 rpg, and 4.6 ppg last year for the Eagles. He was sent to the free throw line 108 times and shot 56.5% when on the line. Not a 3-point shooter at all after making one of his 18 attempts, 5.6%. Mitchell will be another forward that can help out Popovic throughout the season.
