LSU is not often regarded as a top-tier college basketball program but head coach Will Wade has them trending in that direction. The Tigers have been very successful on the recruiting trail and on the court under his leadership. That is bound to translate to a bunch of postseason victories in the near future and it will be interesting to watch LSU’s movement up the national rankings in the next few years. With regard to the 2020 class, the Tigers’ current three-man group is ranked at No. 21 in the nation with a true star leading the way.

This crowning jewel is Cameron Thomas, arguably the most potent scorer in the 2020 class. Although he is not the most efficient performer, Thomas is a big-time shot-maker worthy of his five-star status. He is ranked as the No. 25 overall player in the class and boasts a sensational bag of offensive tricks. Thomas is a bit undersized for a scoring guard at 6-foot-3 but can absolutely fill it up. He averaged 28.9 points per game on the EYBL circuit this summer. His offensive game is well-documented.

Additionally, the Tigers were able to land a backcourt running mate for Thomas with Jalen Cook. An in-state signee for the Tigers, Cook is ranked at No. 141 in the nation thanks to his top-notch athleticism. He is also highly regarded as a wide receiver at the high school level. With regard to his basketball skill, Cook can be a three-level scorer and elite defender. He plays with a great motor and should exceed his recruiting ranking, in my opinion.

Bradley Ezewiro (No. 221) is the final current commit in this class as a 6-foot-8 forward/center. Ezewiro is a physical presence inside and is fresh off averaging 9.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks per game on the EYBL circuit. His skillset has room to grow.
