Jayden Stone – Wichita, KS

CG | 6-foot-3 | 175 lbs | No. 99 overall recruit

A true scoring guard with the ability to fill it up at all three levels, Jayden Stone is a smooth performer. He might not bring elite-level size at 6-foot-3 but is blossoming as a playmaker to improve his all-around skill set. Stone is already a capable ball-handler with the ability to create for himself off the bounce or capitalize on open catch-and-shoot opportunities. As a result of his playing style, Stone will be a highly sought-after scorer in the 2020 class. He should pair quite nicely on a team that runs the floor and needs a wing scorer for the future.

During this past summer, Stone ran with Nightrydas Elite (FL) on the Nike EYBL circuit. He played in 14 total contests with the team, averaging 8.2 points (.423/.260/.667), 3.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. These numbers might not look all that gaudy, and he dropped significantly in recruiting ratings as a result – he was once ranked as high as No. 40 in the class. Stone is still ranked as a top-100 player in the 2020 class and should be an impact scorer at the collegiate level, but his stock has been dipping a bit as of late.

With regard to his recruitment, Stone released his final five schools on Oct. 25th: Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Baylor. Auburn holds four of the five crystal ball predictions for Stone’s commitment at this moment (one pick is listed as undecided). The Tigers already boast a trio of top-160 commits including one from highly-regarded point guard Sharife Cooper (No. 18 recruit overall). With that said, though, there has not been a CB pick in Stone’s recruitment since mid-October.
