Kerwin Walton – Hopkins, MN

SG | 6-foot-5 | 195 lbs | No. 94 overall

One of the biggest risers of the past few months, Kerwin Walton has climbed over 100 spots since July and has now emerged as one of the most highly-targeted wings in the class. While playing for D1 Minnesota, Walton showcased his elite 3-point shooting and developing all-around game en route to seeing a massive jump in his stock.

He brings plenty of size to the table at 6-foot-5 with the ability to absolutely light it up from beyond the arc. Additionally, he has displayed tremendous growth as a playmaker in recent months while developing his play as a secondary creator while on the floor.

Walton definitely looks the part of a potential starter at a blueblood school in the future. With the current landscape of college basketball, every team in the country needs to feature 3-point shooters. Walton is one of the best and he brings more than just sniping to the table. He played for D1 Minnesota over the course of this past summer.

With regard to a potential decision, experts have indicated that Walton is expected to commit in the near future even though he cannot sign until after the college basketball season. The young wing has already taken official visits to Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, Vanderbilt, Miami, and Cal with a few other teams involved as well. Creighton and Minnesota headline that list of non-OV’d schools.

There are not any crystal ball predictions for his commitment at this point but it is clear that some of the top programs in the nation are involved.
