Atlantic 10

The non-conference portion of the season has been rather interesting for the Atlantic 10. It is perhaps the most unpredictable conference in NCAA Basketball. Davidson is not performing on as high a level as was thought originally, and some other forces within the league are giving the notion that they plan on threatening in league play. Whether these teams go back down to Earth or not, some great storylines have been created, and there is no telling how many NCAA Tournament bids this league will get.

3) Duquesne vs. Dayton (1/29, 2/22)

Duquesne has surprised many people so far. They find themselves at 10-2 and were undefeated until December 22nd. That may be due to a weak non-conference schedule, but their dates with Dayton will let us see them for who they are. As a team that will be near the bubble, these games provide them with must-win opportunities.

2) George Mason vs. Richmond (1/18, 2/19)

George Mason is 11-1 and Richmond is 10-3. These two squads are two of the surprises of this season. The matchups between the Patriots and Spiders are big resume opportunities for both teams. I do not see either team staying completely at the top in conference, so these games will be fun because a potential at-large bid is at stake.

1) Dayton vs. VCU (1/14, 2/18)

Here are the two best teams in the conference. Sophomore Obi Toppin (18.8 ppg) will shake up the Atlantic 10 when he leads his squad to two convincing victories over this talented VCU Team.
