18. Anthony Mathis – Oregon

2019-20 stats: 10.8 ppg 2.6 rpg 1.1 apg

The New Mexico grad transfer was brought in as a perimeter scoring lift for the Ducks alongside Payton Pritchard. His impact has been inconsistent but Mathis has been as lethal a three-point threat as anyone is the country. Ranked 8th nationally at 50%, Mathis has four games of at least four made three-pointers, including a career-high nine in a 30-point effort against Boise State. Long as he’s on the court, opposing defenses have to pay close attention to the sharpshooter.

17. Jimmy Whitt – Arkansas

2019-20 stats: 13.5 ppg 5.6 rpg 2.6 apg

After beginning his career with the Razorbacks, Whitt transfer to SMU with a pair of productive seasons. He came back home this offseason and has been crucial to Arkansas surprising 11-1 start to this season. Third on the team in scoring but second in both rebounds and assists, Whitt has done everything Hogs fans can ask for.

16. Jahaad Proctor – Purdue

2019-20 stats: 12.2 ppg 3.0 rpg 2.3 apg

With Carsen Edwards and others gone from the Elite Eight squad, Purdue on paper was devoid of offensive playmakers. The good news was that they were able to land High Point grad transfer Proctor, who averaged 19.5 ppg last year. His production so far isn’t at that level but he is the current leading scorer for the Boilermakers. He’s struggled of late (9/35 shooting the last four games) but hopefully, the new year gets the guard back into rhythm.
