1. Pritchard continues to lead the Ducks

At this point in conference play, Payton Pritchard is the odds on favorite to win Pac-12 Player of the Year.  He has been the face of the conference throughout the season and may get consideration for National Player of the Year when it is all said and done.

By the end of the year, Pritchard may become the first Pac-12 player ever with 1,300 points, 500 rebounds, and 600 assists during his playing career.  This season he is averaging 18.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and 5.9 apg while turning over the ball only 2.6 times per game.

Against Arizona State, the 6’1 point guard started with a three-pointer off the opening tip.  He continued to be hot beyond the arc, taking 15 points into the locker room at the half going 5-7 on three-point attempts, with four assists.

There may be no one in the country you would rather have the ball in his hands in crunch time than Pritchard.  The only critique may be that he tends to fire up at least one shot per game that is from closer to the “O” logo at the center of the court than the three-point line.  However, he has been known to drain some from that distance.
