10. Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma State is 9-8 overall, with five losses in a row, all being in Big-12 play as they’ve lost to Texas Tech (85-50), West Virginia (55-41), TCU (52-40), Texas (76-64), and Baylor (75-68).

This week they face Tyrese Haliburton, and the Iowa State Cyclones, an opponent they can definitely beat to get their season back on track, as Iowa State has lost two games in a row, and is just 1-4 in conference play.

They play Texas A&M, as a part of the Big 12-SEC challenge, which is also a team the Cowboys should be able to beat as well, as the Aggies are one of the worst teams not only in the SEC but in all of the Power 5 conferences.

My prediction: They lose to Iowa State, but handle Texas A&M to get out of their losing skid.

9. Kansas State Wildcats

Kansas State is just 9-8 overall, and 1-4 in conference play, but that one win was a HUGE one, as Kansas State pulled off the upset against West Virginia.

Cartier Diarra tied a career-high in points with 25, and Dajuan Gordon had a career-high 15 (13 in the first half) points to help the Wildcats pull off the upset. Xavier Snead moved into top 15 in school history in scoring, as he chipped in 16 points, four steals, and three rebounds, on 6-7 shooting.

Kansas State looks to build off of their impressive win, and get right in the thick of competing for their second straight conference title this week as they Face Kansas tomorrow, a team that showed they can get beat last week against Texas. Kansas State needs the same production they had against West Virginia on the offensive side of the ball, but most importantly on defense. West Virginia committed 18 turnovers, with Kansas State scoring 28 points off of those mistakes. If Kansas can go to Allen Field house and play like they have nothing to lose again, they can potentially give Kansas a run for their money.

They also play the Red hot Alabama, who just took down the fourth-ranked team in the country, and at the time the undefeated Auburn Tigers, in the Big-12-SEC challenge.

My prediction: Kansas State loses both games this week, but plays well in both. They’re about to turn the corner.
