NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Biggest performances from 2020 Flyin to the Hoop

Day 2 (Saturday) Standouts

Paul McMillan (Class of 2022) (29 points, 5 rebounds)

This kid is going to be a big deal, Paul McMillan is only a sophomore and he already has offers from Xavier and Cincinnati. His 29 points were a team-high in a blowout loss to Walnut Ridge. He attacked the hoop every chance he got but didn’t get a lot of help.

VonCameron Davis (Kent State Commit) (27 points, 10 rebounds)

First-team All-State last season he’s been a monster, he and his teammate Kaveon Ross have been tearing it up for Walnut Ridge (27 points, 8 rebounds). Davis will be a monster in the MAC and is a big get for Kent State.

Caleb Murphy (Four Star, South Florida Commit) (17 points, 6 rebounds)

Caleb Murphy cruised in what ended up being a big win for Grayson over Huber Heights Wayne, he had 17 points and six rebounds and is the headline for South Florida’s 2020 recruiting class. Grayson was dominant.

Day 3 (Sunday) Standouts

Jesse Laster (Lincoln Trail Commit) (24 points)

Laster got started day three off with a bang with one of the weekends most impressive shooting performances, he had 24 points on 6/12 shooting from three. Laster is currently committed to play JUCO ball at Lincoln Trail and could be playing ball at a high major D1 level in the future.

Isaiah Wilson (3-Star, Richmond Commit) (22 points)

Wilson got to the rack at will and was drawing a lot of fouls, he got to the free-throw line 17 times and looked really comfortable with the ball in his hands. He’s a current Richmond commit in the 2020 class.

Elmore James (Class of 2022, Undecided)

This kid is a sophomore and he’s a baller. Defensively he’s a menace and he’s not afraid to take over. He’s already got an offer from Cleveland State and there will definitely be more.

John Hugley (4-Star, Pitt Commit) (16 points, 11 rebounds)

Big Hugley just dominated down low, he has the ability to stretch the floor making him a dangerous weapon for Pitt in the future. A very efficient game for the 6’8 big man.

Sammy Anderson (Cincinnati Football Commit) (29 points, 5 rebounds)

Kids going to college for football but if you watch him on the court you’d have no idea, he’s a great athlete and a great corner. Best of luck to him with his football career at Cincinnati, staying home and joining a really good football class next year.

Malaki Brenham (4-Star, Undecided) (44 points, 11 rebounds)

Easily the best performance of the weekend, this kid is jaw-dropping, he made it look really easy. He got to the hoop at will and was dominant from start to finish. Brenham is already well sought after will have the likes of the best schools in the country interested him. The 2021 prospect already has offers from a few Big Ten and SEC schools.

Grant Huffman (Davidson Commit) (23 points, 9/10 FG)

Possibly the most efficient game of the weekend came from St Edwards guard Grant Huffman, 9/10 from the floor including 2/2 from three. Huffman is committed to playing his college ball at Davidson.

Day 4 (Monday) Standouts

Matthew Cleveland (4-Star, Undecided) (23 points, 9 rebounds)

Cleveland has over 20 offers already as the number 21 player in the country in the class of 2021, at 6’6 he’s extremely athletic. He’s got a good outside shot and can hit from outside as well. He looked like the best player on the court all game.

Larry Stephens (Toledo Football Commit) (21 points, 5 rebounds)

Stephens had a really good game in a loss to Spire Academy with 21 points on 8/12 shooting. Stephens will play football up at Toledo.

Aundre Polk (Maryland Commit) (15 points, 8 rebounds)

Polk dominated down low for Spire in their blowout win. Polk is committed to Maryland for next season.

Rayvon Griffith (Class of 2023, Undecided) (25 points, 16 rebounds)

Kids a freshman and one of the best players in the state of Ohio, his 25 points and 16 rebounds was the top performance for day three. He’s dangerous with both inside and outside range, if he continues to grow he’s going to be an absolute menace.
