NCAA Basketball: Powell, Garza lead National Player of the Year Power Rankings

As great as the other players on this have been and continue to be, no one has been as dominant or as impactful all season the way Myles Powell has been.
The senior continues to be Seton Hall’s heart and soul and is the biggest reason why the Pirates are currently on a nine-game win streak (well, 7-2 center Romaro Gill might be the biggest reason, but you know what I mean).
Powell kept Seton Hall from suffering an upset loss to St. John’s over the weekend, leading their double-digit comeback 29 points while making a plethora of big shots down the stretch, as we’ve come to expect from him.
Powell did only score 14 points on Wednesday against Providence, but those only came on six shot attempts. Seton Hall won easily and didn’t need a big game from their star, giving him a bit of a break.
Each one of these players can make a legitimate case as to why they should be National Player of the Year but, currently, everyone is looking up at Powell, who continues to lead this tight race.
