12. Tulane Green Wave (Prior Rankings: 8)

Tulane hasn’t won a game since January 11th and only have two conference wins, they’re two games behind ECU and UCF for the bottom spot. After beating Cincinnati early things looked like they would go differently in conference play but alas, things haven’t turned out quite as well.

Te’Shaun Hightower has been the go-to scorer for Tulane this year along with Kansas transfer K.J. Lawson. Ron Hunter has a project and year one has to already be considered a success. More than doubling their win total already.

Games against Temple and Wichita are next for the Green Wave. Tulane beat Temple by 14 earlier this season at their place.

11. East Carolina Pirates (Prior Rankings: 10)

East Carolina has only won two of their last eight games, both big wins against Tulane. Jayden Gardner has been fantastic yet again in his sophomore campaign. 20.5 points per game and 9.6 rebounds are impressive and he’s deserving of a spot on the first team AAC despite the Pirates struggles.

Tristen Newton has also had the hot hand the last couple games, the more help ECU can get Jayden Gardner the better.

East Carolina has Tulsa, Cincinnati, and Memphis in their next three, wouldn’t be shocked at all if ECU manages to win one of those games.
