10. Central Florida Knights (Prior Rankings: 12)

Both Temple and Central Florida are basically on the same level right now but I’m giving the edge to Temple since they have the win in the head to head.

Central Florida has ripped off two straight wins against Tulsa and East Carolina to move to 4-7 in the AAC and move out of the cellar. It’s been a hard year for Johnny Dawkins, they lost a lot of talent last season.

Central Florida has struggled on the offensive end of the floor, there are just two guys averaging double figures in Collin Smith and Ceasar DeJesus. They’re averaging just 68.3 points per game putting them in the bottom third of the country.

Central Florida has a tough two-game stretch with Wichita and Cincinnati, a tough task as the Knights look to extend their two-game winning streak.

9. Temple Owls ( Prior Rankings: 9)

Temple wins some and they lose some. Just kind of how it’s been this season, lose big to SMU and then turn around and beat them at home, beat Wichita, but then lose by 25 to Tulsa and Tulane.

You never know what Temple team you’re going to get, the inconsistency is why Temple finds themselves near the bottom. Temple is another team that struggles to score, outside of Quinton Rose, the Owls struggle to get constant production.

The Owls will get the bottom of the AAC Tulane and then a ranked Villanova team in a non-conference game.
