8. Baylor (23-1, 12-0) at Oklahoma (16-9, 6-6) – Tuesday, Feb 18

The Bears have an even bigger game this weekend (more on that later) but can’t afford to look ahead with a road trip at Oklahoma. The Sooners have been good at home this season, with just a loss to the Jayhawks so far. There would be negative consequences for Baylor if they lose but this also would be another Quad 1 win for them if they can get the win.

As for Oklahoma, they can all but secure their spot in the NCAA Tournament with a win. It would help their uninspiring 2-8 record against Quad 1 opponents, with West Virginia and Texas Tech games still to come. The Sooners are projected in the field but they’re in the middle of a rough patch of games. Being at home against Baylor is as good an opportunity as they’ll come.

7. Villanova (19-6, 8-4 at Xavier (17-9, 6-7) – Saturday, Feb 22

The Musketeers are a team right on bubble currently and nearly shot themselves in the foot on Monday, needing a comeback to win in the final seconds on the road at St. John’s. They turn their attention towards the Wildcats, who are back in the Big East regular-season title race after a pair of losses by Seton Hall.

Xavier lacks bad losses but is just 9-9 overall in Quad 1 and 2 games. And with more road matchups coming up, this team could use a signature victory over the Wildcats that has to deal with four of the last six games being on the road.
