4. Dayton (23-2, 12-0) at VCU (17-8, 7-5)

The Flyers are riding an all-time high, getting up to the top-5 in the AP polls. They’re also firmly projected as a 2 seed in the Big Dance and need to continue winning in the Atlantic 10 to maintain that status. But they’ve been getting tested by several teams who really need a signature victory for their respective resume.

No one needs it more than VCU, who took an awful loss last week to George Mason, as well as Richmond on the road. It dropped the Rams almost out of the bubble picture entirely and now has to beat Dayton at home on Tuesday night. With no other Quad 1 games available, along with possibly missing out on a top-4 seed and double-bye in the conference tourney, VCU needs to have their best performance soon.

3. Indiana (16-9, 6-8) at Minnesota (12-12, 6-8)

With only two games separating between 3rd and 12th place in the Big Ten standings, both Minnesota and Indiana (who currently at 11 and 12) needs to find ways to win in the last few games of the regular season. The Hoosiers have lost five of six games and still have matchups against Illinois and Penn State in the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Gophers are a loss away from being under .500 overall. Indiana and Texas showed last year that many Quad 1 wins mean nothing with an awful overall record. Minnesota has games against Northwestern and Nebraska but neither will move the needle. If the Gophers lose this one, they’ll have to beat Maryland at home on the 26th to have any shot at dancing.
