Notable Movers: Kentucky and Indiana.

These are definitely a pair of teams trending in the wrong direction at the moment. With regard to Kentucky, I was once quite low on this resume with regard to truly competing for an high seed in the Big Dance. The Wildcats, though, have really upped their game in recent weeks while winning eight straight and 12 of their last 13. Efficiency metrics might never deem this team to be “elite” but UK’s impressive overall record (24-5) and top-tier wins carry it to the No. 3 seed line with room to move up still.

Indiana, on the other hand, dropped back-to-back true road games to Purdue and Illinois during this past week to fall back into the bubble conversation. The Hoosiers have hovered around the double-digit seed territory all season long and it feels as though they will be sweating it out on Selection Sunday unless something changes. IU will finish its regular-season schedule with home games against Minnesota and Wisconsin. Both are winnable games that could bolster their resume heading into the Big Ten Tournament in their home state.
