AJ Brodeur Looks To Cap Off His Incredible Career With The Quakers By Knocking Off The Top Seeded Yale Bulldogs.

We find the Quakers sitting as the 4 seed to round out the field and if you look closely, you might see some grey hairs throughout the rosters as Penn had snuck in at the last moment, despite the Brown Bears’ best effort to ruin their fun.

It should be no surprise that the Quakers start-and-end with one man: AJ Brodeur.  The do-it-all big man, and arguably the most impactful player in the conference, posted 11 double-doubles this year including four in the first five games.

Along with his ability to do a little bit of everything, Brodeur has a 33-point outing to his name and probably most impressive is his Senior night performance against Columbia which saw him go for 21 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 blocks, and 2 steals.

What the Quakers have going for them at this point in the season is they were tested early on in the season despite some slip-ups during league play.

Non-conference wins saw Penn knock off Alabama, Providence, and UCF among others.  These battle-tested experiences will prove beneficial, as will their pre-existing win over first-round opponent Yale back on February 15th.

The Quakers struggle to defend the long ball, which is something Yale does very well on the offensive end.

Brodeur can carry a heavy load, he’ll also need fellow Senior Devon Goodman to assume the co-pilot seat.  A 13/3/3 player, Goodman will prove to be a strong defensive presence on the wing in this first round match-up.
