DePaul has found its rhythm on the recruiting trail over the past few years. While the Blue Demons are still yet to return to the NCAA Tournament, they have been bringing in enough talent where it should only be a matter of time until that changes. Head coach Dave Leitao has already secured a pair of highly-regarded prospects from this 2021 class and Keon Edwards was the second domino to fall.

Ranked as a Top 100 prospect in most places you look, Edwards is known as a scoring wing. He already brings a solid frame to the perimeter at 6-foot-7 and uses this to his advantage. Edwards can create for himself off the bounce or operate in catch-and-shoot situations with the ability to be a three-level threat. He is often able to get his shots off over defenders by using his size and burying contested shots isn’t an issue.

It is also important to mention that he should continue to develop. Although seen as a scorer right now, Edwards brings enough size to defend multiple positions and should grow on that end of the floor. He also already boasts solid passing vision for his position and that makes him a more well-rounded offensive threat.

DePaul needs a true go-to scorer for the future and Edwards can fit that role.
