The time is finally here the 2020 Mock National Championship. Early in the season when I ranked all of my teams 353-1, I picked Michigan State to win the title. I had both Gonzaga and Kansas ranked very high as well.

Heading into the tournament both Kansas and Gonzaga were playing the best basketball of anyone. Gonzaga has the best offense in the country and they like to go fast. They have shooting in Admon Gilder and Kispert and a point guard in Ryan Woolridge who stabilizes the offense and runs it with efficiency. They are also led in the frontcourt by WCC player of the year in Filip Petrusev. How he plays against superstar Udoka Azubuike is a huge key to the game.

Kansas also has a tremendous of star power with Azuibuike and point guard Devon Dotson. Kansas has been one of the best teams all year and earned its spot in the title game. They were the overall number one seed for a reason. This is going to be one of the best games in the entire tournament and it is a preview of a matchup for the 2021-2022 season when these teams will meet in the regular season.

Gonzaga is a blue blood in every way shape and form. The only thing separating them from the rest of the blue bloods is their lack of a National Title. That changes this year and Gonzaga finally gets their coveted title with a hard-fought win over the Jayhawks.

Gonzaga 88, Kansas 82 (Zags lead 2-1)
