Clemson Tigers

Clemson has only reached the NCAA Tournament once in the past nine seasons, but there is reason to believe that this program is on an upward trend. The Tigers have won 20+ games in two of their last three seasons and head coach Brad Brownell is experiencing increasing success on the recruiting trail as well. They might never be a true power in the ACC, but it is reasonable to think that the Tigers could be an annual contender for the Big Dance moving forward.

This optimism is based on the idea that Clemson has a few young building blocks worth being excited about over the next few seasons. Additionally, the Tigers appear to be fully entrenched in this recruiting battle for Kowacie Reeves. Assistant coach Antonio Reynolds Dean has done excellent work recruiting Reeves to the Tigers and he is a major reason why they are included in this final six.

Clemson is not a program that traditionally lands elite-level four-star prospects such as Reeves, but that doesn’t mean it should be counted out. The Tigers are another program seemingly on the rise and Reeves would likely be offered an immediately substantial role with the team as a freshman. He could develop into a true star and would also be able to play alongside Khavon Moore, who went to the same high school as Reeves.

Moore could legitimately act like an extension of the staff in this recruitment and that is something worth monitoring. Clemson isn’t a team to overlook.
