Georgetown Hoyas

The point guard situation for the Hoyas next year is between Arkansas grad transfer Jalen Harris an incoming freshman Tyler Beard and Dante Harris. There’s a huge need for an all-around performer like Mack since Georgetown will be losing a ton of talent between now and then. Although unless the Hoyas find more talent via the portal, it would end up being a similar situation as at Nebraska.

The big benefit for Mack joining Georgetown is head coach Patrick Ewing. Talk about accountability, there wouldn’t be five chances to “mess up” with him. And with his vast knowledge and experience with the NBA, there would be development both on and off the court with him. He’s the same coach who accosted a player once on live TV for taking a bad shot so it could be the coach-player fit that Mack needs.

Gonzaga Bulldogs

Mack proved himself as a capable D-I player, so he could play for just about any team in the country if there’s an opening. And when you consider that the Cornhuskers arguably had the least amount of collective talent among all the power conference programs, one can only imagine what this player can do on a stacked roster of the Bulldogs. And they could use him too, with five-star point guard Jalen Suggs likely to be around for just a year.

If Mack wants to stay in the state of Texas, then traveling to Spokane, Washington is probably out of the question. But when it comes to “cultures” and “environments”, no program has been better than Gonzaga Basketball under Mark Few in the last 20 years. Not only are they always winning and making the NCAA Tournament but the Bulldogs have had next to no issues inside the locker room. Everyone succeeds there and with Mack having something to prove, it could be a perfect match, if the location wasn’t an issue.
