NCAA Basketball: In-depth look at Montana State senior guard Xavier Bishop

Expectations for Bishop in 2020-21 season
Coach Sprinkle has done a tremendous job filling this roster with talent. The Bobcats have a good portion of that roster returning from last year and can replace their leader from a year ago Frey being replaced by Bishop. Montana State has high expectations for this year. The Bobcats experienced their best season since 2001-2002 last year with the 16 wins and it was their first season with a winning record since the 2001 season as well.
Hall, nor Frey were able to secure the Big Sky player of the year. It is amazing that Hall never won the award considering the type of numbers he put up in Bozeman. It may be a tall order for Bishop to earn the player of the year considering the players still returning to the conference. It should not be out of the question for the senior guard to follow in the footsteps of former Bobcats and earn first-team all-conference. If Bishop can do that, coach Sprinkle would be very happy with that.
The team has high expectations given they finally get Bishop eligible and they have a good number of weapons to pair with Bishop. Junior big man Jubrile Belo and senior guard Amin Adamu return and look to form a great trio to take on the Big Sky.
Is this finally the year for Montana State to climb to the top of the Big Sky Conference standings? They have a team and a coach capable of being a contender this season and beyond. Xavier Bishop is hoping to be a huge piece to the build and helping turn Montana State into an annual contender in the Big Sky.
