Arkansas Razorbacks

With the exception of Jordan Brown, all of head coach Eric Musselman’s key players at Nevada had come through the transfer portal. That including the twin duo of Cody and Caleb Martin, who thrived in his system and went on to become NBA players. The failure of that Brown though is a slight stain on his path to top-tier prospects, although it can be somewhat explained by wanting to go with the seniors that year on the Wolf Pack roster instead of the freshmen.

At Arkansas now, Coach Musselman still has his eyes on the transfer portal, going after literally every single high-major player available. He and the Razorbacks landed graduate transfers Jalen Tate from Northern Kentucky to be their point guard, while also getting New Mexico wing Vance Jackson.

The upcoming recruiting class though has everyone’s attention, with four players ranked in the top-110 overall to give the team a top-10 class. Moses Moody and KK Robinson are key pieces, along with center prospect Jaylin Williams. With Jackson gone and Moody preferably placed at the two-guard spot, there’s a real need at the wing position for Arkansas in the following season, since Isaiah Joe certainly won’t be around by then.

This team is also in play for other 2021 five-star wings, Peyton Watson and Harrison Ingram. Of the three, Ingram is considered to be the more obtainable player, which could impact the amount the effort they make on Brown. I would say the odds of the Hogs landing this prospect are rather low but it’s okay since they’ll likely land someone in next offseason’s transfer portal period.
