Arkansas Razorbacks

In his first full recruiting class at Arkansas, head coach Eric Mussleman pulled in a top-10 group overall, filled with quality guards and a big man in Jaylin Williams. They did add a nice wing forward transfer in New Mexico’s Vance Jackson, a double-digit scorer who’ll have an impact in his lone season with the Hogs.

Although the wing forward position will be open for next season, Adams has to take into account that this program will be targeting every available transfer a year from now, as they have been doing this offseason. It already has current forwards on the roster, Reggie Chaney and Ethan Henderson at a peculiar situation and if Adams isn’t ready to contribute early on, he may not have a real chance to compete on this roster. There also are five-star prospects who can pass him up as well. He’d be a good fit for the scheme but with the way Coach Musselman recruits, it’s hard to say how this will work out at this stage.

Baylor Bears

There’s a clear need for forwards to join Baylor in the next year or so, hence why they’ve been attached to a number of transfers/recruits at that position. Adams could be their most realistic target at this point. And with both Mark Vital and Tristan Clark leaving, he’d have an immediate role for the following season.

The Bears have been using three-guard lineups lately and will likely do so again unless 6’9 forward Matthew Moyer forces his way into the lineup. Guards MaCio Teague, Jared Butler will both likely be gone a year from now and this program needs to find several top-100 prospects in the 2021 class to remain at the top of the Big 12 title race with Kansas.
