Auburn Tigers

Auburn is another team that has a loaded class of 2020 coming in just behind Arkansas with the seventh-ranked recruiting class according to 24/7 Sports. Auburn is a school with just one scholarship remaining for next season.

Auburn has also been listed in the final five options for 2021 number one recruit Jonathan Kuminga. Kuminga has reportedly discussed reclassifying to the class of 2020 in the past and Auburn wouldn’t be able to get both Kuminga and McClung. They will likely be prioritizing Kuminga.

If McClung does pick Auburn he’d be a veteran presence for a team that has lost five seniors as well as Isaac Okoro. Auburn has five freshmen in this recruiting class since McClung is likely to sit out a year there would be a lot of talent around him. Five-star freshman Shariffe Cooper is likely to be the point guard for Auburn next season and would be a sophomore if he doesn’t leave for the draft.

Auburn certainly wouldn’t turn down an athletic playmaker like McClung but likely have their attention focused on getting Kuminga in. Bruce Pearl has had some good guards come through his program and joining a top team in the SEC would certainly have an appeal on someone looking to play at the next level.
