Possible target for Brandon Averette – Nevada Wolf Pack

With All-Conference star guard Jalen Harris officially staying in the NBA Draft, that makes the top four scorers from the Wolf Pack this past season now gone. That includes starting point guard Lindsey Drew, who led the team with 4.0 apg. This team has a strong returning frontcourt for next year, led by rising sophomores Zane Meeks and KJ Hymes and hopes that Brown sit-out transfer Desmond Cambridge can continue scoring at a high level.

What Nevada still needs though is a point guard for next season. They did land Wichita State transfer guard Grant Sherfield this offseason but he’ll need a waiver in order to play in 2020-21. To avoid any kind of worrying in that department, the Wolf Pack can add Averette, who can be a productive player in the Mountain West, while Sherfield sits out. It would be a win-win for all involved.

Possible target for Brandon Averette – Santa Clara Broncos

After losing leading guards Tahj Eaddy and Trey Wertz early in the offseason, Santa Clara has been looking to add others in order to replace them. They did add Florida Gulf Coast guard Christian Carlyle, who averaged 8.1 ppg last season.

But the Broncos still need to add a true ball-handler for next season to go along with frontcourt players Josip Vrankic and DJ Mitchell. A quality point guard can have this team make a top-4 push in the WCC and Averette would essentially have the lead ball-handler role all to himself.
