NCAA Basketball finalist for Andrew Nembhard – Georgetown Hoyas

Georgetown is probably the most surprising team to me on Nembhard’s final list, the Hoyas haven’t had the best of offseasons with the departure of Mac McClung but the addition of Nembhard would definitely turn it around.

The Hoyas haven’t had a postseason appearance since 2015 and have consistently struggled. Patrick Ewing is entering his fourth season in charge, he’ll need to turn around the program soon or he’ll find himself on the hot seat. Nembhard can be that spark and his experience will be extremely valuable.

Jalen Harris will play a big role for the Hoyas at the point guard spot for next season, the Arkansas graduate transfer came off the bench for a majority of games last season but he only has one year of eligibility.

The point guard position should be wide open for the 2021 season, a true floor general like Nembhard would make a world of difference for Ewing. Since Jahvon Blair will be a senior next season, the Hoyas will be looking for help elsewhere as well as support from their class of 2020 freshmen to help carry the load.

Moving forward I think Georgetown would be the least attractive school for Nembhard, with so much uncertainty moving forward and a lack of success compared to the other schools this seems like the most unlikely of options.
