Potential NCAA Basketball option for Blake Hinson – Indiana Hoosiers

Another team who lost their wing starter this offseason was Indiana, who saw Justin Smith depart to Arkansas. It shouldn’t hurt the team too badly, as it’ll open up shooting and spacing on the court. But the Hoosiers are going to need to find plenty of more production for 2021-22, with incoming five-star guard Khristian Lander and leading scorer Trayce Jackson-Davis likely to enter the 2021 NBA Draft.

Top-100 wing Jordan Geronimo is a solid incoming freshman but Indiana really could use a double-digit scoring veteran who can play both the 3 and 4-spots on the court. If things go as expected, this team will have plenty of room available and could use a talented sit-out transfer to replenish the talent pool.

Potential NCAA Basketball option for Blake Hinson – Maryland Terrapins

With Utah transfer Both Gach going back home to Minnesota, Maryland once again strikes out on the transfer portal and remains with three available scholarships. Even if they can’t add players to play for this upcoming season, there’s room at the three-spot for a sit-out transfer for the Terrapins after Darryl Morsell graduates.

Maryland did land a combo forward already this offseason in Boston College transfer Jairus Hamilton. But even if Hinson ended up with the Terps, these two could play together on the court without issue and their ability to switch would actually be a nice defensive pairing. Maryland might as well go after Hinson and any other available transfers simply to have enough players available to practice adequately for the upcoming season.
