Camren Pierce – Lowest rated recruit

The 5’11 point guard gets top billing on this list in order to compensate for the fact that he is last on 247sports recruiting list. While that may be selling the California native a little short, at No. 505 he is the last player that is ranked,  even though, there are a number of recruits who have zero stars and do not make the list.

By the time this article is published, 247sports may have updated their list and Pierce will no longer be last. Especially since 247sports currently has the Mustangs with three recruits and Cal Poly’s twitter account is promoting their seven players coming in for the 2020-21 season.  No matter where Pierce lands in the recruiting ranks, following him and tracking how many higher-ranked recruits he is outperforming is a sport itself.

As six players graduate from Cal Poly, who finished with a Big West worst 4-12 record, there will be an opportunity for Pierce to not only play but play a lot. From the six players who started ten or more games, four are seniors and all are under 6’7. Billed as a pure point guard, he has the range to hit shots from free to three and take his man off the dribble. Having spent time exploring Big Ten and Big East recruits, it will not be long until Camren Pierce is no longer No. 505.
