Pittsburgh Panthers

As Coach Jeff Capel continues his rebuilding effort, an area of concern continues to be finding a scoring off-guard to complement point guard Xavier Johnson. With Trey McGowens and Ryan Murphy gone, the Panthers are hoping that Delaware transfer Ithiel Horton, and Miami (OH) guard Nike Sibande can provide the needed production to get the Panthers out of the basement in total offense.

Although Pittsburgh has had its fair share of recent struggles, Weston would have a major opportunity of having a sizable impact not only as a freshman but in future years, without potentially getting recruited over. If Justin Champagnie can have as big a freshman season as he just did, Weston can have a similar impact. The possible lack of winning though may be a concern for him.

Seton Hall Pirates

Weston will probably not be the same kind of offensive superstar as All-American Myles Powell was but the Pirates could sure use him as they rebuild their perimeter. Guards/wings Takal Molson and Jared Rhoden are rising juniors so adding at least a couple of scoring guards in the 2021 class are of big importance for the team. Especially after missing out on a couple of key targets so far on the wings.

As someone who spent his early years in Brooklyn, Seton Hall represents the closest program to there now that St. John’s is out. As someone who grew up in Big East country, this team has risen near the top and is challenge Villanova for league supremacy. With a clear pathway for playing time starting as a sophomore and a need for offense, Weston and the Pirates would be a match that benefits both sides.
