NCAA Basketball: Examining all 12 programs in play for four-star Blake Wesley
Creighton Bluejays
One of the better offenses in all of college basketball last season, the Bluejays have shown a willingness to play three-guard lineups. With Mitchell Ballock a senior and Marcus Zegarowski potentially going pro, the team will likely need a new group of perimeter players to lead the way.
Creighton already has top-100 freshman guard Rati Andronikashvili on the roster, along with four-star point guard and class of 2021 commit Ryan Nembhard. Adding Wesley would fill out nicely a future core and there would be plenty of immediate minutes as a freshman.
Grand Canyon Antelopes
New head coach Bryce Drew is looking to make Grand Canyon a mid-major power and eventually a true threat to beat New Mexico State in the WAC. With star forward Alessandro Lever leaving after next season, adding a four-star shooting guard of Wesley’s caliber would be huge. He even could be the key piece to the Antelopes finally taking that next step forward and a potential All-WAC star.
Indiana Hoosiers
Coach Flint may be gone, but a close relationship with head coach Archie Miller and guard Armaan Franklin remains, making Indiana very viable in this process. With Aljami Durham a senior, there will be plenty of minutes at both shooting guard and small forward positions.
Trey Galloway and Anthony Leal are a pair of freshmen off-guards, which would compete with Wesley for playing time a year from now. He would join four-star big man Logan Duncomb in the Hoosiers’ 2021 class.
