NBA Draft 2020: Mock second round selections with a month to go
By Nick Andre
Diakite has proven that he is a true winner. He was a huge spark in Virginia’s National Championship in 2019 and it even carried over into the 2020 season as well.
Diakite provides a lot of energy with his versatility. He fits into the modern-day NBA by being a big who can stretch the floor. Diakite shot 47% from the field in his senior year and was lethal on the offensive end. He could become a great asset off the bench for Brooklyn in search of being a contender.
Another overlooked rim protector is Nick Richards. He was an enforcer in his three seasons at Kentucky and dominated this past season.
Richards is a tough, gritty player that Charlotte could be looking for. As I said, he is a true enforcer that is going to set the tone on both ends of the floor. Coming into each game, Richards would be a difference-maker for the Hornets in the future.
Yurtseven can impact the game on both sides of the floor, as we saw this past season at Georgetown. He has tremendous size at his position and shows no weakness from either the perimeter and in the paint.
The Clippers are in need of more players with size on their roster. And Yurtseven could fit right into the rotation of the team. Yurtseven could potentially be a game-changer for the Clippers, which could result in a championship by the end of next season.
