Chandler Vaudrin is a catalyst for the Winthrop Eagles

Chandler Vaudrin is quite the point guard prospect for the Winthrop Eagles at 6-foot-7. He had himself quite the performance to kick off the 2020-21 season for the Eagles and was a big reason for their victory in the end.

Vaudrin produced 9.3 points, 5.8 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per contest this past season while earning second-team All-Big South honors in the process and he picked up where he left off against UNC-Greensboro.

He was stellar in sparking the Eagles’ second-half surge, finishing with 14 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and three steals in 36 minutes of action. While most guards look to shoot first, Vaudrin fits the “pass first” model to a T. He took just five total shots in the game while going 8-of-11 from the free throw line.

Look for him to make waves in the Big South Conference this season following Winthrop’s big opening season victory. The win snaps a two-game winning streak by UNC-Greensboro.
