Isaiah Miller is a leader on offense for UNC-Greensboro

Isaiah Miller returns to the UNC-Greensboro lineup as last year’s SoCon Player of the Year and SoCon Defensive Player of the Year and he’s ready to show more. He’s also on the Lou Henson National Player of the Year Award Watch List, which is presented annually to the top mid-major player in Division I college basketball, after producing 17.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.8 steals per contest in 2019-20.

Miller was the pulse for the UNC-Greensboro Spartans on both ends of the floor, despite the result. He finished with 19 points, four rebounds, three assists, and a steal on 8-of-17 shooting from the field.

While he didn’t make a 3-pointer, going 0-for-3 in the game, it didn’t help that the rest of the team was cold from 3-point range as well. As a team, UNC-Greensboro shot 7-of-29 (24.1 percent) from 3-point range in the game. Their worst offender? Keyshaun Langley, who went 1-of-8 on the night.

As for Miller, he largely picked up where he left off in their last victory where he put up 24 points, five steals, and four assists on 10-of-13 shooting from the floor against Little Rock. He’ll look to find some help on the offensive end, though one option who shined was Hayden Koval with 17 points.
