Marcus Williams | 6’2 Point Guard | Wyoming Cowboys

The Wyoming Cowboys are 4-1 on the season with a win over Power 5 foe Oregon State as well. Part of that is thanks to what freshman point guard Marcus Williams has brought to their backcourt.

Williams is averaging 19.6 points, 5.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per contest through five starts for the Cowboys in his debut season. In their latest win over Denver on Wednesday night, Williams posted a career-high 30 points to go along with five assists and three steals.

He had a solid all-around shooting game going 13-of-20 from the field and 3-of-7 from behind the arc to spark the Cowboys’ to their third-consecutive victory. He’s a freshman name to keep an eye on in the Mountain West Conference as his teammate Hunter Maldonado. Maldonado leads the Cowboys in assists per game with 6.4.
