Oakland Basketball: Golden Grizzlies beat Detroit Mercy in overtime thriller

Overtime recap

Oakland would win the jump ball and Young would once again make a three-pointer to give Oakland a three-point lead to start overtime. The Golden Grizzlies Parrish would get fouled and make a free throw to extend their lead to four. Detroit Mercy’s Davis would answer with an off-balance mid-range jump shot to shorten Oakland’s lead to two.

The Golden Grizzlies Parrish would make two free throws to make the score 72-68. Oladapo made a layup to extend Oakland’s lead to six and Moore would make one of his two free-throw attempts to make the score 75-68. The Titans Davis would remain aggressive and make a layup to trim the Golden Grizzlies’ lead to five. Detroit Mercy’s Kuol would make his sixth three of the game to make it a two-point game.

The Titans Johnson would make a reverse layup to tie the game at 75-75. Oakland Parrish would make a put back make to give the Titans a 77-75 victory. This game was a very exciting game as the Titans Kuol ended up finishing with 28 points and Detroit Mercy’s star player Davis ended the game with 18 points.

Oaklands’s leading scorer was Parrish with 18 and Oladapo finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Moore from Oakland had 12 assists leading the Golden Grizzlie offense and Oakland’s superstar player had eight points but looks to bounce back tomorrow.
