Head coach Mike Boynton nabbed the crown jewel of the 2020 class, Cade Cunningham, to lead his program this season. It’s been a huge addition towards the team’s overall outlook this year, but it’s also helped to cover the thin depth on the wings for this group. Fully expected to enter the NBA Draft next offseason and a lack of a proven wing at the moment exacerbates the need to fill the cupboards in this particular area.

With the current outlook for adding depth in next year’s class being slim, the Cowboys are planning to rely on the development of Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe, Keylan Boone, and Donovan Williams in 2021. Pushing for the signature and commitment of Dick will fill the scoring void set to exist in this part of the roster.

While he’s a well-rounded player already at this point in his basketball career, the immediate perimeter boost provided to this team will be huge towards spacing the floor for the program’s potential frontcourt and backcourt stars.

Dick also brings a certain level of physicality and productive energy to the court that can benefit a team without a bonafide star. He makes plays and will certainly take the pressure off of Rondel Walker and Co to produce at elite levels every night. Adding in the fact that Dick has plenty of experience under proven coaches with Team USA that can lend towards the implementation of a winning culture in Stillwater.
